CONCLUSION: This study highlights that elevated baseline AF/stroke-related risk does not adversely impact TTD and TTNT outcomes associated with ibrutinib use. Doses to Carotid Arteries After Modern Radiation Therapy for Hodgkin Lymphoma: Is Stroke Still a Late Effect of Treatment?
Conclusions: INRT reduces the dose delivered to the carotid arteries and corresponding estimated risk of stroke for HL survivors. Even for the subset of patients with lymphoma close to the carotid arteries, the estimated risk is low.

Acute Stroke Caused by Progressive Intracranial Artery Stenosis due to Varicella Zoster Virus Vasculopathy After Chemotherapy for Malignant Lymphoma.
Authors: Saito M, Kawano H, Amano T, Hirano T Abstract Decreased cell-mediated immunity can reactivate Varicella zoster virus (VZV), which can lead to various neurological complications, including vasculopathy. We herein report the case of a patient with acute stroke with progressive internal carotid artery stenosis due to VZV vasculopathy after chemotherapy for malignant lymphoma. Treatment for VZV vasculopathy improved the stenosis and prevented recurrent stroke. VZV vasculopathy is an important treatable cause of stroke in immunosuppressed patients. Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Isoform-B Stimulates Neurovascular Repair After Ischemic Stroke by Promoting the Function of Pericytes via Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor-1
In this study, we investigated the therapeutic potential of VEGF-B in ischemic stroke using different in vivo and in vitro approaches. We showed that the delayed intranasal administration of VEGF-B reduced neuronal damage and inflammation. Unexpectedly, VEGF-B stimulated the formation of stable brain microvasculature within the injured region by promoting the interaction between endothelial cells and pericytes. The Epidemiology and Clinical Associations of Stroke in Patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia: A review of 10,972 admissions from the 2012 National Inpatient Sample
Acute leukemia predisposes patients toward the development of stroke. The latter, while devastating clinically, has been infrequently studied. Our study, using the 2012 National Inpatient Sample, found a 50-fold increase in the risk of stroke as compared to all inpatient admissions with a corresponding 5.5-fold increased risk of mortality. Significant risk factors for the development of stroke included UTI, hypernatremia and acute renal failure.

The Weakened Interaction Between HECTD4 and GluN2B in Ischemic Stroke Promotes Calcium Overload and Brain Injury Through a Mechanism Involving the Decrease of GluN2B and MALT1 Ubiquitination
This study explores the relationship between HECTD4, GluN2B, and MALT1, focusing on their role in brain injury in ischemic stroke. Rats were subjected to 2  h-ischemia followed by 24-h reperfusion to establish an ischemic stroke model. We observed the downregulation of HECTD4 and the upregulation of MALT1.
