Identification of a TRP channel-related risk model for predicting prognosis and therapeutic effects of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma
CONCLUSIONS: We successfully established a highly accurate prognostic model for predicting overall survival and therapeutic effects using TRP channel-related genes.PMID:37733242 | DOI:10.1007/s00432-023-05394-7

Impact of adding pertuzumab to trastuzumab plus chemotherapy in neoadjuvant treatment of HER2 positive breast cancer patients: a multicenter real-life HER2PATH study
CONCLUSIONS: This real-life study indicates that adding P to NCT-H enables higher pCR than NCT-H in HER2+ BC, while pCR was associated with lower relapse and better EFS time.PMID:37083566 | DOI:10.1080/0284186X.2023.2202330

The prognostic gene CRABP2 affects drug sensitivity by regulating docetaxel-induced apoptosis in breast invasive carcinoma: A pan-cancer analysis
Chem Biol Interact. 2023 Jan 31:110372. doi: 10.1016/j.cbi.2023.110372. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTCellular retinoic acid-binding protein 2 (CRABP2), a specific transporter of retinoic acid, has been shown to have an important biological role in human cancers. However, due to the substantial variability among different tumors, the role of CRABP2 remains uncertain and has not yet been subjected to systematic analysis. Utilizing The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx), Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC), Human Protein Atlas (HPA), Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis 2...

The Decalcification of Cervicothoracic Spinal Metastasis of Breast Cancer Due to Discontinuation of Denosumab: A Case Report
Cureus. 2022 Sep 2;14(9):e28699. doi: 10.7759/cureus.28699. eCollection 2022 Sep.ABSTRACTBreast cancers frequently metastasize to bone. Several guidelines recommend denosumab to control metastasis. In the current case, denosumab allowed the calcification of cervicothoracic spinal metastases following bone decalcification by breast cancer. Six years after administration, denosumab was discontinued and the metastatic lesions became decalcified, but recalcification occurred after re-administration of denosumab. There were no reports of serious decalcification after discontinuation of denosumab. The patient was a 71-year-old w...

miR-1205/DNAJB1 reverses docetaxel chemoresistance in human triple negative breast carcinoma cells via regulation of mutp53/TAp63 signaling
In this study, we aimed to investigate the molecular mechanism behind DOC chemoresistance and the possible therapeutic effects of miRNAs. Utilizing qRT-PCR analysis, we discovered that miR-1205 is gradually downregulated in human triple negative breast carcinoma MDA-MB-231 and docetaxel-resistant MDA-MB-231 (MDA-MB-231/DOC) cells compared with Hs 578Bst normal human breast fibroblasts. Cell viability, cell cycle and apoptosis assays in MDA-MB-231/DOC cells indicated that miR-1205 overexpression enhances docetaxel sensitivity by reducing cell viability as well as inducing G2/M cell cycle arrest and cell apoptosis. Western b...
