CONCLUSIONS: The MDEP method improved the prediction accuracy of COVID-19. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), has killed at least seven million worldwide since its emergence in China in late 2019 [1] and became the most significant global health crisis since the 1918 influenza pandemic [2]. In order to mitigate the spread of the pandemic, non-pharmaceutical interventions such as protective equipment and social distancing as well as the rapid development and mass implementation COVID-19 vaccines, have been rolled out to prevent death, reduce the spread and severity of disease, and protect healthcare systems from becoming overwhelmed [2].

Evaluation of the mental health status of community frontline medical workers after the normalized management of COVID-19 in Sichuan, China
ConclusionAfter the normalized management of COVID-19, community frontline medical workers still suffered from psychological problems that were even more serious than those during COVID-19. Doctors were more likely to have psychological problems than nurses. In addition, the mental health status of community frontline medical workers was affected by education, type of contract and working years. Managers should pay attention to the mental health of these people.

Assessment of transmissibility and measures effectiveness of SARS in 8 regions, China, 2002-2003
ConclusionThe SARS epidemic in China showed a trend of spreading from south to north, i.e., Guangdong Province and Beijing City being the central regions, respectively, and from there to the surrounding areas. In contrast, the SARS epidemic in the central region did not stir a large-scale transmission. There were also significant differences in transmissibility among eight regions, with R0 significantly higher in the northern region than that in the southern region. Different regions were able to control the outbreak successfully in differences time.
