Incoming MS1-Dermatology Prep Advice
Hello! I will be an incoming MS1 next fall and I am very interested in dermatology as a potential route for residency. I am also interested in internal medicine (to go about rheumatology route) and surgery, so derm is for sure not what i want to pursue but it is high up on my list. Obviously this is a very hard residency to pursue in terms of competition, so I was wondering if anyone has any advice to how I should start of my first year of medical school? I have a lot of research experience... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Neurology vs. Rheumatology Question
I have noticed some diseases with overlap between the two specialties. Who usually treats vascular immune disease such as primary angiitis of the CNS and giant cell arteritis? Similarly, who treats conditions such as polymalgia rheumatica, inclusion body myositis, polymyositis, dermatomyositis, and other inflammatory or non inflammatory myopathies? I imagine that the immunotherapy can become quite complicated with the various immunosuppressant/immunomodulatory drugs out there. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Good textbook on immunodeficiency in adults
Hey everyone, Need a good textbook on adult immunodeficiency. I'm a rheumatologist with fairly extensive immunology background. Will be working with some adult immunodeficiency patients (mostly CVID) and would like to know if anyone has a good textbook to suggest that covers practical diagnosis/management of immunodeficiencies in adults. Thanks for the help! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Need honest advise on Rheumatology Fellowship
Question: What can I do to improve my CV for the 2021 Rheum match? My Bio - IMG from Canada on J1 -> H1b visa -> GC from US citizen spouse after waiver. Over 225 in Step 1-3 on the first attempt. Graduated from a community IM Residency. Worked on a few non-rhuem related case reports and presented at both ACP regional and National. State licencing when doing a fellowship?
Hey all, I'm a 3rd IM resident who will be starting a Rheumatology fellowship in July 2020. I had some questions on state licencing/DEA: 1. I am an IMG currently on the state training license, Do I need to get a full state MD licence when I start fellowship or is there another provisional license? 2. If I decide to go ahead and apply now, How does everyone do it, in terms of going thru specific state boards vs FSMB? 3. Is there any benefit of getting the license early or...
