Having High Triglycerides, should I avoid all junk food, or indulge once or twice a day?
Hey there, So recently, a few months ago, I took a blood test testing for a couple things, one being arthritis, and the other being just regular levels and stuff I guess. So fast forward real quick to before the blood test; I started smoking weed more and more (Hopefully people here are educated enough to be okay with it), maybe 6 months before the test. The first few months obviously I was eating a bit more as my appetite was raised (This was like right before my test so I kinda feel like... Rheumatology/Sports Medicine
Hi SDN, I was just curious whether rheumatologists pursuing sports medicine fellowship and practicing both rheumatology and sports medicine is a career path that is commonly undertaken. I enjoy studing rheumatologic pathologies, but I also enjoyed the non-surgical aspects of my orthopedic surgery rotation as well. Is practicing both Rheum and Sports Med feasible? Are they complimentary fields? Would there be too much of a fight with Ortho docs for patients? I don't suppose that... Rheumatology/Sports Medicine (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Duration of Toradol therapy
I had an rx the other day for Toradol 1 qd prn #20. I've seen quite a couple patients on Toradol longer than the 5 day max. The one I dispensed was a patient had been on 3 mos of therapy and had switched PCPs. The new PCP had done LFTs and SCrs. Pt said was not getting sufficient relief from other NSAIDs and Narcotic side effects were bothersome at best. Is the risk of liver failure worse than the benefit of mobility in a patient with severe arthritis/spondylitis, etc? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Rheumatology job offers
Would any of the current fellows looking for a job share light on the market out there? Just curious what kind of options are available nowadays. Are most opportunities with private single specialty practices? Or are most with multispecialty practices? How about hospital based options? What are the differences in the offers between the different set ups? Are there ways to make money from infusion centers from any of them? Are the markets in big or medium sized cities good? Thanks. Should it be considered?
I know that we are supposed to trust our doctors. They've gone to college for many years and they know a lot. I'm currently 15, a female, and I've had many problems with my doctor. He diagnosed me with asthma about a year and a half ago, and for the most part, I accepted that. But my mom was diagnosed with CF when she was pregnant with my little brother. He was tested, but I never was. My mom brought that up to him when the asthma meds weren't having the desired effects, but he simply told her the tests she had must have been wrong and that she didn't have CF. I unno he's a doctor, and maybe he's right, but I am just so ti...
