How effective is pelvic floor muscle training undertaken during pregnancy or after birth for preventing or treating incontinence?
Many women suffer from incontinence during or after pregnancy, and pelvic muscle exercises are one way to help. An updated Cochrane Review in May 2020 presents the evidence from 46 trials and we asked two of the authors, Stephanie Woodley and Jean Hay-Smith from the University of Otago in New Zealand, to tell us about the latest findings.
