Ovarian collision tumor consisting of sclerosing stromal tumor and mature cystic teratoma complicated with Meigs syndrome: A case report
Oncol Lett. 2022 Oct 26;24(6):443. doi: 10.3892/ol.2022.13563. eCollection 2022 Dec.ABSTRACTOvarian collision tumors are uncommon and reports of their radiological appearance are even less frequent. The present study reported the world's first case of an ovarian collision tumor consisting of an ovarian sclerosing stromal tumor and a mature cystic teratoma and its imaging presentation. When a cystic solid ovarian mass combined with ascites and elevated CA125 is encountered it is frequently diagnosed as a malignant tumor, but the present case was a benign tumor. Therefore, when encountering similar cases, clinicians should n...

MR Imaging of Germ Cell and Sex Cord Stromal Tumors
MR imaging is useful in the detection and characterization of adnexal lesions. This review discusses the clinical findings and MR imaging appearances of two types of ovarian neoplasms: germ cell and sex cord stromal tumors. The most common of these lesions, mature cystic teratomas, is characterized by the presence of bulk fat on MR imaging. Some of the other germ cell neoplasms and sex cord stromal tumors may have suggestive clinical, laboratory, or MR imaging features (eg, lipid and fibrosis) to establish a diagnosis. The ability to differentiate benign tumors from possible malignancy can aid in patient management. (Sourc...

Well-developed Cerebellum in an Ovarian Mature Teratoma From a Pregnant Female
In this report, we describe the case of an ovarian mature cystic teratoma identified in a pregnant female which exhibited remarkably well-developed posterior fossa structures including lobated and foliated cerebellum with appropriate anatomic organization and associated brainstem, ventricular, and meningeal structures. High-Grade Endometrioid Stromal Sarcoma of the Ovary: Malignant Transformation of Ovarian Mature Cystic Teratoma
We report an extremely rare case of ovarian high-grade endometrioid stromal sarcoma arising from a mature cystic teratoma with clinicopathologic features, and then we briefly review the pertinent literature. A 62-year-old nulliparous woman presented with lower abdominal pain that had begun 6 months earlier. Magnetic resonance imaging showed two adnexal masses with fat components, which suggested that they were mature cystic teratomas. The eccentric thick rim of the left mass showed irregular invasion of the uterus, which was suggestive of malignancy. Positron emission tomography/computed tomography demonstrated high fluoro...
