Robotic-assisted versus conventional laparoscopic ICG-fluorescence lymphatic-sparing palomo varicocelectomy: a comparative retrospective study of techniques and outcomes
ConclusionRAV can be safely and effectively performed in pediatric patients, with the same excellent outcomes as conventional laparoscopic procedure. Laparoscopy has the advantages of faster surgery, smaller instruments, better cosmesis and lower cost than robotics. To date, laparoscopy remains preferable to robotics to treat pediatric varicocele. Beyond surgery: bladder preservation and the role of systemic treatment in localised muscle-invasive bladder cancer
AbstractOver the last two to three decades the non-surgical curative management of bladder cancer has significantly progressed. Increasing evidence supports the use of bladder preservation as an alternative to radical cystectomy (RC) for localised muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). Radiosensitisation with chemotherapy or hypoxia modification improves the efficacy of radiotherapy. Systemic treatments play an important role in the management of localised MIBC with the benefit of neoadjuvant chemotherapy prior to radical treatment well established. The use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in the radical treatment of...

Follow-up of urolithiasis patients after treatment: an algorithm from the EAU Urolithiasis Panel
ConclusionsBased on evidence from the systematic review we propose, for the first time, a follow-up algorithm for patients after surgical stone treatment balancing the risks of stone recurrence against the burden of radiation from imaging studies. (Source: World Journal of Urology)

Revisiting the issue of “beach balls” in holmium laser enucleation of prostate: clinical and histological characterization
ConclusionsBBs are expected in older patients and cases of chronic retention. Prostatic volume is the most reliable predictor of their presence. They contribute to prolonged operating time and increased risk of complications. The predominantly stromal composition of the BBs apparently confers their resistance to morcellation.
