Organ ‐preserving procedures as an option for treatment of patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours
ConclusionAs the “wait‐and‐see” policy can be not useful due to uncontrolled disease progression, choice of organ‐preserving treatment first can become the first line of decision taking in small benign pNETs. Our experience shows that organ‐preserving treatment is more comfortable for the surgeon and for the patient. However, it is not the universal position. Triplication of small bowel with perforated pepticulcer: Report of a rarity with literature review
AbstractTriplication of small bowel is an extremely rare variant of enteric duplication with only one previously reported case in a neonate. Most enteric duplications are presented in neonates as intestinal obstruction. Herein we present a case of 3 ‐year‐old girl with acute abdomen due to perforation of triplicated ileum aiming to highlight the characteristic presenting features, the diagnostic difficulties and challenges of surgical intervention for this condition.
