Benefits of Intra ‐Operative Cholangiogram for Acute cholecystitis
ConclusionIn the context of laparoscopic cholecystectomy, IOC has a significant role to play. Our data shows that it can reduce the likelihood of complications, retained stones and the need to convert to an open procedure. However, its routine use at present is difficult to justify given that the current study does not appear to make a difference in the most serious complications such as bile duct injury and bile leak. This study builds on previous work in justifying increased use of IOC during LC. (Source: Surgical Practice)

Differential diagnosis of GA difficult due to non‐specific radiological and endoscopic findings. Imaging techniques and endoscopic examinations can not distinguish GAs from other intramuscular lesions of t he stomach...

Organ ‐preserving procedures as an option for treatment of patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours
ConclusionAs the “wait‐and‐see” policy can be not useful due to uncontrolled disease progression, choice of organ‐preserving treatment first can become the first line of decision taking in small benign pNETs. Our experience shows that organ‐preserving treatment is more comfortable for the surgeon and for the patient. However, it is not the universal position. The long‐term survival data still has to be estimated. (Source: Surgical Practice)
