Triplication of small bowel with perforated pepticulcer: Report of a rarity with literature review
AbstractTriplication of small bowel is an extremely rare variant of enteric duplication with only one previously reported case in a neonate. Most enteric duplications are presented in neonates as intestinal obstruction. Herein we present a case of 3 ‐year‐old girl with acute abdomen due to perforation of triplicated ileum aiming to highlight the characteristic presenting features, the diagnostic difficulties and challenges of surgical intervention for this condition.
