Cowden Syndrome Associated with Severe Periodontal Disease: A Short Literature Review and a Case Report
Conclusion: Early diagnosis is crucial in patients affected by CS. The dentist may be the first to notice any atypical changes in the oral cavity and refer the patient for further examinations. Moreover, the mucosal and skin changes have a tendency to appear prior to the malignancies associated with the syndrome. This highlights the responsibility of the dentist in the early diagnosis of this progressive pathological syndrome. (Source: Oral health and Preventive dentistry)

Promoting Oral Health and Quality of Life of Older People - The Need for Public Health Action
Conclusions: In 2015, the WHO published the World Report on Ageing and Health, which outlines a framework for action to foster healthy ageing. The policies are highly relevant to the improvement of oral health. Transformation of oral health systems away from a disease-based curative model and towards disease prevention, as well as the provision of older-person-centred integrated care are required. Moreover, wide-ranging public health action on ageing is urgently needed. (Source: Oral health and Preventive dentistry)
