Abstract No. 118 Predictors of Active Extravasation on Conventional Angiography for Acute Lower Gastrointestinal Bleeding
Conventional angiography is an accepted management option for patients with acute lower gastrointestinal bleeding (LGIB). Despite careful patient selection, a substantial proportion of angiograms are negative for arterial injury and no embolization is performed. The purpose of this study is to identify factors predicting the presence of active extravasation on conventional angiography in patients with acute LGIB. Abstract No. 120 Contrast Extravasation on Computed Tomography versus Splenic Angiography in Blunt Trauma
Following blunt trauma, contrast extravasation (CE) from the spleen on computed tomography (CT) imaging is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. The current study sought to determine the relationship of CE on CT with active arterial bleeding on splenic angiography and associated clinical outcomes. Abstract No. 122 Percutaneous Embolization for Endoleak Associated with Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair
While there is substantial literature on endoleak embolization in the setting of endovascular aortic repair (EVAR) for abdominal aortic aneurysms, there have been only several case reports on endoleak embolization in thoracic EVAR (TEVAR) patients. The purpose of this study was to report outcomes after embolization for the management of endoleak after TEVAR. (Source: Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology : JVIR)

Abstract No. 124 Sequelae of Splenic Embolization by Age: A Retrospective Analysis
SAE is a widely used intervention to manage traumatic splenic hemorrhage and hypersplenism from varying diseases. Previous studies have indicated that older adult patients receiving SAE have a higher incidence of major complications following intervention. SAE complication rates have also been shown to be increased when performed distally. [3]. Surgical studies demonstrate higher rates of complications after laparoscopic splenectomy in older adults. The sequelae of SAE and associated complications, length of hospital stay (LOH), and need for splenectomy may not differ between age groups . (Source: Journal of Vascular and I...

Abstract No. 126 Celiac Plexus Neuromodulation with an Injectable Hydrogel for the Treatment of Gastroparesis
Gastroparesis is an intractable problem frequently treated using pro-motility agents, and when that fails, referral to interventional radiology for a post-pyloric feeding tube. Post-pyloric tubes can often fail due to retraction into the stomach or clogging of the jejunostomy tube. A noted side-effect of celiac axis neurolysis is the induction of diarrhea during ethanol ablation. Animal studies have shown that placement of a nerve cuff around the celiac axis can induce gastric motility and treat gastroparesis. (Source: Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology : JVIR)

Abstract No. 127 Mesenteric Venous Thrombosis as a Predictor of Target Artery Thrombosis and Trans-Arterial Micro Perfusion Treatment Completion Among Patients with Locally Advanced Pancreatic Cancer
Both arterial and venous thromboembolism are common complications of pancreatic cancer, and mesenteric venous thrombosis (MVT) is also a common incidental finding in patients with pancreatic cancer. Trans-arterial micro perfusion (TAMP) is a new investigational procedure providing local delivery of gemcitabine to treat locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC). In an ongoing Phase 3 randomized clinical trial testing the efficacy of TAMP (TIGeR-PaC, NCT03257033), up to 8 bi-monthly treatments are provided, during which an artery in the vicinity of the tumor is occluded by a double-balloon catheter for 20 minutes.
