Abstract No. 93 Outcomes and Complications in Patients Undergoing Sclerotherapy for Superficial Venous Malformations of the Lower Extremities
Venous malformations (VMs) are the most common vascular anomalies in the lower extremities. Percutaneous sclerotherapy has been shown to be effective in treating superficial VMs. We aimed to evaluate the clinical, imaging response, and safety following percutaneous sclerotherapy for the management of superficial VMs in the lower extremities. Abstract No. 95 Safety and Efficacy of Prostatic Artery Embolization with of N-Butyl Cyanoacrylate (NBCA) in Treating Extremely Large Prostates ( > 150 cc)
In patients presenting with prostate volumes exceeding 150 cc, transurethral techniques pose considerable challenges, often rendering simple prostatectomy the preferred surgical intervention despite its invasive characteristics and associated risk profile. PAE with NBCA offers a less invasive treatment path for this patient subset. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, clinical outcomes, and safety profile of NBCA PAE in patients with prostates exceeding 150cc. Abstract No. 97 Adjunctive Coil Embolization After Prostatic Artery Embolization is Safe and Results in Greater Prostate Volume Shrinkage
Prostate artery recanalization after prostatic artery embolization (PAE) is suggested as one of the major etiologies for recurrence of symptoms after PAE. We reasoned that coil embolization of main prostatic artery after particle embolization reduces the chance of prostate regrowth and aimed to study safety and efficacy of coil embolization of main prostatic artery after particle prostatic artery embolization (coil-out technique). Abstract No. 98 Outcomes of Prostate Artery Embolization Following Failure of Prostatic Urethral Lift (UroLift): A Case-Control Study

Abstract No. 99 Effect of Salvage Prostate Artery Embolization for Recurrent or Refractory Urinary Symptoms After Minimally Invasive Surgical Techniques
Treatment options for recurrent lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) following minimally invasive surgical techniques (MIST) are limited and include more invasive surgical options such as transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP). LUTS recurrence after both TURP and MISTs have been reported with rates ranging from 10-50% depending on study and length of follow-up. In treatment na ïve patients, prostate artery embolization (PAE) demonstrated improvements in clinical symptoms, sexual function, and time to recurrence. Abstract No. 100 Intraarterial Dexamethasone for Alleviation of Pain Following Uterine Fibroid Embolization: A Double-Blinded Randomized Controlled Trial
One of the major practical considerations for uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) is the post procedural pain. Prior research has shown that preprocedural administration of a single dose of dexamethasone is helpful in alleviating the pain following UFE as it controls inflammation. Intraarterial administration of a drug can result in higher intra-organ concertation; the drug avoids first-pass metabolism and systemic dilution. The aim of this study is to test if administration of dexamethasone intraarterially during UFE alleviates post procedural pain. (Source: Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology : JVIR)

Abstract No. 101 Staged Prostate Artery Embolization Reduces the Risk of Post-Aquablation Hemorrhage
Aquablation (AA) is an emerging, minimally invasive treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Compared to transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), the gold-standard for BPH, AA has the potential for shorter procedure times and fewer complications1,2. While promising, AA is associated with an increased risk of post-procedural bleeding, especially for larger prostate sizes (>80 cc).2 Prostate artery embolization is being used increasingly as both a primary and adjunct intervention for BPH. Abstract No. 102 Pre-operative Uterine Fibroid Embolization Before Hysteroscopic Myomectomy in Patients with Large Intracavitary Fibroids: A Case Series
Many interventional radiologists hesitate to perform UFE in patients with symptomatic intracavitary fibroids of significant size due to concern for increased post-procedural complications, including expulsion of residual fibroid tissue, endometritis, and sepsis. While hysteroscopic resection of intracavitary fibroids can provide definitive management, success of this procedure alone is limited by the size of the fibroid, degree of intramural extension, and presence of multiple fibroids. The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of combination pre-operative UFE prior to hysteroscopic myomectomy in patients with la...

Abstract No. 103 The Impact of Prostate Artery Origin on Procedure Time for Prostate Artery Embolization with n-Butyl cyanoacrylate
Prostatic artery embolization (PAE) is considered a technically challenging procedure given the anatomic variations of the prostatic artery (PA) origin. As a result, a standardized angiographic classification system was established to facilitate recognition and catheterization of target branches. The impact of anatomical patterns on the outcomes of PAE with microparticles has been studied extensively. This project aims to investigate the impact of PA anatomy on procedure time for PAE with NBCA. (Source: Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology : JVIR)
