Metabolic causes of liver disease among adults living with HIV from low- and middle-income countries: a cross-sectional study
CONCLUSIONS: Metabolic disorders were significant risk factors for liver disease among PLHIV in LMICs. Early recognition of metabolic disorders risk factors might be helpful to guide clinical and lifestyle interventions. Further prospective studies are needed to determine the causative natures of these findings.PMID:38566493 | PMC:PMC10988113 | DOI:10.1002/jia2.26238 (Source: Journal of the International AIDS Society)

HIV knowledge and access to testing for people with and without disabilities in low- and middle-income countries: evidence from 37 Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys
CONCLUSIONS: Men and women with disabilities have lower overall HIV knowledge and in particular women with disabilities also indicate lower testing rates. Governments must include people with disabilities in HIV programmes by improving disability-inclusion and accessibility to HIV-related information, education and healthcare services.PMID:38566480 | PMC:PMC10988115 | DOI:10.1002/jia2.26239 (Source: Journal of the International AIDS Society)

ART history prior to conception: trends and association with postpartum disengagement from HIV care in Khayelitsha, South Africa (2013-2019): a retrospective cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: There is a growing population of people with ART experience prior to conception and postpartum disengagement varies substantially by ART history. Antenatal care presents an important opportunity to understand prior ART experiences and an entry into interventions for strengthened engagement in HIV care.PMID:38566482 | PMC:PMC10988117 | DOI:10.1002/jia2.26236 (Source: Journal of the International AIDS Society)
