Psychological predictors of performance-based physical functioning among pediatric pain program participants
CONCLUSION: Participation in an IOP led to significant improvement in physical endurance and high-level motor ability. Depressive symptoms and pain catastrophizing were associated with physical functioning at baseline but not post-program completion. Effectiveness of simple and basic home-based exercise programs including pediatric massage executed by caregivers at their homes in the management of children with spastic cerebral palsy: A randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSION: PM along with HEPs can be used effectively to reduce spasticity and to improve gross motor ability if performed for a period of at least six and 12 weeks respectively. CONCLUSION: This study demonstrated that caregivers believed the MDC model was both efficient and convenient for pediatric patients with neuromuscular disorders. This report discusses a case of female thoraco-omphalo-ischiopagus tripus conjoined twins. The twins were separated at age two, and once medically stable, spent one month in inpatient rehabilitation to improve their sitting balance and gross motor skills. This was followed by outpatient physical therapy. The twins initially had customized ZipZac seats, which they were able to wheel independently.
