Physical activity and functional limitations in pediatric multiple sclerosis: Are fatigue and depression confounding variables?
CONCLUSION: Self-reported MVPA was associated with perceived functional limitations among youth with pediatric MS independent of perceived fatigue and depressive symptoms.PMID:37807790 | DOI:10.3233/PRM-220081 (Source: Journal of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine)

Oculomotor screening and neuro-visual rehabilitation following pediatric brain tumor resection
J Pediatr Rehabil Med. 2023 Sep 30. doi: 10.3233/PRM-220127. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTVisual difficulties are common after brain tumors, despite a lack of visual complaints at diagnosis. These include difficulties with eye movements, visual coordination, vergence, accommodation, and photophobia, in addition to more obvious problems such as visual field defects. This case report presents the results of a thorough neuro-visual evaluation in a boy with sequelae after a brain tumor including intermittent double vision that was not explained by routine visual examination. Subjective complaints included poor reading persever...

Clinical feeding assessment: An effective screening test to predict aspiration in children in low resource settings
CONCLUSION: This study showed that CFA can be used as a screening test in evaluation of paediatric dysphagia. In those with negative CFA, the chances of aspiration are less while those with positive CFA need further evaluation. In addition, the availability and cost-effectiveness of the test make it a good tool for screening aspiration in low-resource settings.PMID:37807789 | DOI:10.3233/PRM-220052 (Source: Journal of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine)
