Development of Holistic Health Care Interventions for Women With Infertility: A Nominal Group Technique
This article explores the opinions of health care providers regarding holistic health care interventions in managing women with infertility in Ghana. Data were retrieved using a qualitative design and nominal group technique with a purposive sample of 12 health care providers in Ghana. Data were analyzed through thematic analysis. Health care providers explored various psychological, educational, spiritual, social, and medical interventions to ensure women diagnosed with infertility receive holistic treatment and attain optimal health. A Conceptual Model of the Influence of Mindfulness-Based Interventions on Stress and Quality of Life in Patients With Chronic Conditions
Individuals with chronic conditions are susceptible to stress-related health complications. Left unattended, chronic stress exacerbates inflammation, diminishes quality of life (QOL), and increases all-cause mortality. Here, we suggest a theoretical framework promoting the use of mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) in patients with chronic conditions and a conceptual model of how MBIs may influence stress and QOL. The Effect of Mindfulness Breathing Meditation on Psychological Well-being: A Quasi-Experimental Study Among Nurses Working for COVID-19 Patients
The study aims to test the effect of mindfulness breathing meditation on psychological well-being among nurses working for COVID-19 patients. A total of 50 nurses (25 each in the intervention and control groups) were included in the study. We found significant differences between the preintervention and postintervention mean scores of both groups, based on the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale Indonesian version. Mindfulness for Outpatient Oncology Nurses: A Pilot Study
This prospective pre-/posttest pilot studied a mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) intervention first, to reduce self-reported stress and improve compassion satisfaction; and second, to reduce physiological indices of stress. Even small interventions of MBSR before a shift effectively reduces the physiological indices of stress and may help reduce compassion fatigue and burnout in nurses.
