Developing a Web-Based Smoking Cessation Program and Evaluating Its Effectiveness
This study, which is based on the Stages of Change Model, aimed to develop a Web-based smoking cessation program and to evaluate its effectiveness. An interventional study with 1 group was conducted with college students from Afyon Kocatepe University. First, the Web-Based Smoking Cessation Program was set up (www.sbp.aku.edu.tr). Testing the Feasibility of a Mindfulness-Based Intervention With Underserved Adolescents at Risk for Depression
This study tested the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary effects of a mindfulness-based intervention with at-risk adolescents from a predominantly Hispanic/Latino community. Seven adolescents (57% female, 85% Hispanic/Latino) completed the mindfulness-based intervention, demonstrating feasibility, and reported acceptability as well as sustained improvements in depressive symptoms, perceived stress, and self-esteem. Brief Mindfulness Meditation With Night Nursing Unit Staff: A Qualitative Study
Nurses and nursing assistants working at night on an inpatient unit are under signicant stress. Because mindfulness reduces stress and enhances workplace life, this qualitative study explored night shift staff attitudes toward brief group mindfulness practice. Effects of a Physical Activity and Sedentary Behavior Program on Activity Levels, Stress, Body Size, and Sleep in Sedentary Korean College Students
This study examined the effects of a physical activity and sedentary behavior program on physical activity, sedentary behavior, stress, body size, and sleep in 63 Korean college students. This study used a quasiexperimental approach with a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design.
