The objective of this study was to apprise the evidence of the effect of various complementary therapies on pre- and postoperative anxiety among patients. Effectiveness of Music to Improve Anxiety in Hemodialysis Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis
The objective of this study was to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to compare the effects of participation in standard care combined with music with standard care alone. An Exploratory Study of a 3-Minute Mindfulness Intervention on Compassion Fatigue in Nurses
This study shows that breathing mindfully for 3 minutes over a period of 4 weeks, positively affects compassion fatigue in nurses. A nonrandomized, pre/postintervention study was conducted using a 3-minute attentional breathing intervention. Thirty-two nurses participated over 4 weeks. What Chaplains Wish Nurses Knew: Findings From an Online Survey
This report presents qualitative data from a larger study that sought to examine chaplain perspectives on collaboration and nurse-provided spiritual care. This cross-sectional, descriptive study used online survey methods to distribute an investigator-designed questionnaire to a convenience sample of members of the Association of Professional Chaplains (N = 298). Findings were generated by written responses to 3 open questions that were thematically analyzed, as well as 1 quantitative item.
