Long-term effect of fluid volumes during the maintenance phase in neovascular age-related macular degeneration in the real world: results from Fight Retinal Blindness!
DISCUSSION: Patients with high macular fluid after initial treatment are at risk of losing vision that may not be compensable with higher treatment frequency for IRF. Higher treatment frequency for SRF and PED may result in comparable treatment outcomes. Quantification of macular fluid in all compartments is essential to detect eyes at risk of aggressive disease.PMID:37989493 | DOI:10.1016/j.jcjo.2023.10.017 (Source: Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology)

Clinical characteristics of non-infectious uveitis treated with and without systemic immunomodulatory therapy: A retrospective cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: NIU patients on IMT are often younger, suffer from bilateral and chronic uveitis, and are more likely to have ocular complications. Those in the non-IMT group are more likely to have anterior idiopathic NIU. Baseline visual acuity and panuveitis are the main predictors of final vision outcomes among patients with NIU.PMID:37972648 | DOI:10.1016/j.jcjo.2023.10.002 (Source: Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology)
