Recurrent Ileo-ileal Intussusception Caused by Inflammatory Fibroid Polyp: A Rare Case Report
We present a case of a 46-year-old female admitted to our clinic with recurrent ileus attacks. We performed segmental resection of the small bowel due to a 3-cm pedunculated polypoid lesion located in the terminal ileum that caused ileo-ileal intussusception and whose pathology was reported as an inflammatory fibroid polyp. In adults presenting with ileus, the possibility of intussusception should be kept in mind.PMID:38310437 | PMC:PMC10685829 | DOI:10.34172/aim.2023.53 (Source: Archives of Iranian Medicine)

Immunoglobulin A Vasculitis With Intussusception in Children
CONCLUSIONS: Ultrasonography is the first-line investigation for diagnosis. The main sites of intussusception were ileum and ileocolon. The length of intubation was related to surgery; treatment is according to the intussusception site. Air enema is not suitable for intussusception of the small intestine.PMID:38264960 | DOI:10.1177/00031348241229627 (Source: The American Surgeon)

Indirubin mediates adverse intestinal reactions in guinea pigs by downregulating the expression of AchE through AhR
This study showed that the inhibition of AchE expression by indirubin plays a key role in the occurrence of adverse reactions to indirubin and that the underlying mechanism is related to AhR-mediated AchE downregulation.PMID:38164702 | DOI:10.1080/00498254.2023.2297745 (Source: Xenobiotica)

Colonic gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) presenting with colocolonic intussusception: A rare case report
Can Vet J. 2024 Jan;65(1):25-28.ABSTRACTAn 8-year-old spayed female British bulldog was presented with vomiting, hyporexia, and large-bowel diarrhea. Abdominal ultrasound revealed a focal colonic mass with an intussusception located immediately oral to the mass. The intussusception encompassed the ascending and transverse colon and was non-reducible. Colonic resection and anastomosis were completed to include the intussusception and colonic mass. Histopathological examination of the mass demonstrated a spindle cell neoplasm arising within the muscular wall of the intussuscepted segment that obliterated normal architecture....
