MD and BS in health sciences?
I'm a med student and I want to purse a second degree in health sciences/public health. It's a 4-year degree too.
How would this benefit me? Does it open new opportunities for me in the future as a doctor? What are some possible ways to find a position where I can use both of my degrees?
Thanks. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Int' School After DO Dismissal
In January I was dismissed from a US DO school since I failed a course during academic probation - aka failed a course while repeating a year. I have since taken a job at a health IT company and after working w/ providers, I really want to give another shot at medical school. I know the chances of a residency are slim, but there is nothing else I want to do with my life. I have been looking at some international schools, and I stumbled across Italian schools that cost roughly $5k/yr. I...

Could I get into medical school as an Information Technology major?
I'm currently a second semester Freshman majoring in IT at a highly state-ranked university. I have always loved helping others which is the main reason why I want to become a physician. I decided to major in IT instead of Pre-Med track because my advisor told me that medical schools like to see different types of students in applications. My top choice is Meharry Medical College. I made a 3.25 last semester which I will raise no doubt. Have you ever heard of a non-science major getting into...

Military to Med School; The path forward?
Hey everyone,
I'm currently an Army officer on active duty. I've got a little over two years until I transition back to being a civilian and I'm giving med school a hard look right now.
A little background: BS in Information Technology with a 3.6 GPA from a large state school. I did ROTC but little else in college other than a job with the university. I haven't taken many (any?) of the pre-reqs for med school so I anticipate doing some kind of post-bacc. Since I've been in, I deployed...

Applying to OT schools this fall. What experience should I try to get in the next 6-9 months?
Hi, I'm a student majoring in Behavior and Health. It's a preparatory major geared towards Occupational Therapy. I'm currently a junior.
My GPA right now is a 3.69. It might go down or up, not really sure. I don't foresee it dropping below a 3.6. I got Bs in anatomy and physiology, A in devleopmental psychology, A in abnormal psychology, A- in statistics.
I worked for a year as a recreational therapist at a nursing home/rehab facility.
I worked for a semester in a research lab studying...
