Probability of Pathology Residency Matching with less clinical experience
Hi there! I have a question regarding the chances of getting into a Pathology residency as a foreign medical graduate. I am 36 years old and work as a medical advisor at a digital health company in Germany. I have less than a year of clinical experience some 7 years back. Hypothetically speaking, if I was to attain high scores in the USMLE steps, would I stand a chance to match to a path speciality training? I'd be very grateful for your answers! Thanks! Independent contractor rights
So I’m considering a 1099 telehealth position in a clinic, in the contract it says that I have to give 120 days notice if I want to quit, I have to give 60 days notice for vacations, they have a predetermined schedule for me (9-5), but I think it’s annoying that I have to give so much notice for vacations and that I have to stay there 120 days if I find it’s not a good fit. Is that allowed? I thought that as a 1099 I can quit and take vacation as I please? Am I mistaken? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

UMN (OOS) vs NYU (OOS)
I am a Canadian student so in terms of distance and tuition costs they are not too different. I am mostly concerned about the cost of living and therefore leaning towards UMN but worried about missing out on clinical experience if their digital technology is not as strong. Any thoughts would be appreciated! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Old Anesthesia Textbooks - what to do?
What do you all do with your old anesthesia textbooks? I'm decluttering for new year's eve (it's wild at the kidthor house) so I'm deciding what to do with mine. Do you keep any? Or are we all in the era of everything's digital anyway? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Indiana (OOS) vs. Kentucky (IS) vs Louisville (IS)
Cost of tuition is roughly the same, so cheapest school is not a factor here. I also plan on applying for the NHSC scholarship. Indiana Pros: Largest scholarship Emphasis on diversity Beautiful area Cons: Couldn’t visit during interview, so not sure on how the environment truly feels Kentucky Pros: Next largest scholarship Small class size (~60) Focus on digital dentistry 2nd year clinicals Safe city Cons: Unfamiliar with area... Can anyone with the Littman CORE Digital Stethoscope answer this question?
To anyone with the Littman CORE digital stethoscope: Do you find the analog auscultation (w/o digital amplification) worse than a conventional cardiology (maybe even the classics)? Trying to figure out if mine is dysfunctional, maybe I am going crazy, or if this is a common feature haha (Source: Student Doctor Network)
