Hello! So basically I am hoping to apply to both M.D. and D.O. schools this summer, but I was just wondering if I could get some advice/insight on the timeline of my application.
So some background:
I just recently graduated this May with a degree in cell biology and neuroscience and a minor in psychology. My cumulative GPA is a 3.6 and my science GPA is a 3.4 (I got two C's in orgo 1 and 2, but everything else is in the A- B range). I was planning to take the MCAT in June, but I didn't...

Should I retake Cell-bio. Plan for Fall semester for DIY postbac
Hello guys, I know there are so many thread about this topic. But please hear me out and give me advice.
I'm doing DIY postbac right now. IT's been good so far. I got 1 A in Neuroscience and will get another A in psychology. Now, I'm trying to decide what classes I need to take in fall.
The options are:
1. retake Cell biology (I got C for the first time).
2. retake OChem (I retook them twice and got B- for the highest back in 2013)
3. retake microbiology (I got C for the first time).
4....

What to do in gap year?
Hey guys, I need some help deciding what to do during my gap year (likely two gap years).
I recently graduated from a solid school. I have a 3.796 cGPA and a 3.802 sGPA. My GPA has an upward trend as I had a 3.6ish GPA through my sophomore year and a 3.96 across my junior and senior years. I majored in Molecular and Cell Biology.
My MCAT was rather low at 501. I would strongly prefer an MD school and know I would have to retake to be more competitive.

I took the DAT recently and I was disappointed. Long story short, I lost track of time in organic.

3.4 GPA and 508 MCAT
Hi, this is my first time posting on the forum so i hope it works out.

Pre recs for do school
Hey I am applying this summer for DO school and have already taken the mcat but wanted to know if it was mandatory to have completed all pre requisite courses before applying or all Pre requisite courses completed before graduating. I have not take cell biology and one other pre-req/required biology course and plan to take it in my senior year. Is that/do you think that will be a problem when applying?
