Incidence of interventions for diabetic retinopathy and serious lower-limb complications and its related factors in patients with type 2 diabetes using a real-world large claims database

ConclusionsWe showed the incidences of the first retinopathy interventions and lower-limb amputations and their secular trends in patients with diabetes, stratified by whether the antidiabetic medication was newly initiated or not. Older age, insulin use, and being dependents were risk factors of these interventions for diabetic complications.
