ConclusionCaudal block provides better and longer analgesia but requires experience and may lead to complications. In contrast, wound infiltration is simple without significant side effects. Therefore, local wound infiltration may be a preferred technique for producing postoperative analgesia in pediatric inguinal hernia repair.
