AI and immunotherapy: Taking the next step

(Case Western Reserve University) Researchers from Case Western Reserve University, New York University (NYU), and University Hospitals in Cleveland have been awarded a five-year, $3 million National Cancer Institute grant to develop and apply AI tools for predicting which lung cancer patients will respond to immunotherapy. This is first time they'll test those tools during an ongoing clinical trial, the next step toward their own clinical trials that would allow physicians to apply the tools with participating patients.
