Conclusion: The crescent-shaped selective staining of the ILM flap could prevent prolonged retinal toxicity of vital dyes in inverted ILM flap technique. Further studies involving larger number of patients with longer follow up are needed to determine the impact of this technique in the management of vital dye toxicity.
