Contaminants of Emerging Concern

The objective of the project is to increase knowledge about contaminants in Great Lakes fish and wildlife by identifying emerging contaminants and assessing impacts on Great Lakes fish and wildlife. There is not an application process for this funding opportunity; this is a notice of intent to award a single source cooperative agreement to St. Cloud State University (SCSU) Aquatic Toxicology Laboratory under justification 505DM 2.14B 2 and 4 without competition. Competition for the award is not practical as it is a continuation of the activities presently being conducted in cooperation with SCSU. This single source award to the St. Cloud State University (SCSU) to participate in the identification of priority CEC mixtures, conduct 14 day laboratory exposure studies, participate in developing watershed-wide model of CEC mixture occurrence and concentration, and develop data to be used in fish population modeling. The agreement is part of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) and is supported by GLRI FY 2014 funding allocated to the Service by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency - Great Lakes National Program Office. This project is a continuation of the activities presently being conducted in cooperation with SCSU.
