Cystathionine β-synthase deficiency impairs vision in the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster.

CONCLUSIONS: The vision phenotype of CBS knock down flies is consistent with severe myopia in homocystinuria patients. We propose to use Drosophila as a model to investigate ocular manifestations underlying homocystinuria.
