Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma following Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation Thermal Injury.
In this report we present a patient with no other known cancer risk factors, who developed esophageal squamous cell carcinoma at the site of esophageal thermal injury which occurred during a radiofrequency catheter ablation procedure. To our knowledge this is the first reported malignant complication of the procedure.
