Influence of COVID-19 pandemic on the psychological status of infertile couples
The disease caused by coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) was named Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID-19) by World Health Organization, who classified COVID-19 as pandemic, global public health emergency1. COVID-19 was first reported in Wuhan (China) in December 2019 and was suddenly followed by an outbreak across Hubei Province and other parts of the country1,2. The first two cases of COVID-19 in Italy were confirmed in January 2020 in Chinese tourists, and the first case of secondary transmission occurred in Codogno, close to Milan, in February3.
