Pericytes improve locomotor recovery after spinal cord injury in male and female neonatal rats

ConclusionsHIF ‐activated pericytes promote vascular density in males post‐SCI. Acute delivery of non‐HIF‐activated pericytes at the site of injury can improve motor recovery post‐SCI.
