Personal Spirituality and Perceived Importance of Discussing Spirituality Among Parents of Children with Cancer, Pediatric Oncologists, and Psychosocial Clinicians (RP422)

Spiritual meaning-making impacts parents' experiences of childhood cancer care. A recent systematic review (Robert et al, Pediatr Blood Cancer, 2019) advocated spiritual needs assessments throughout the illness trajectory. However, families of children with newly diagnosed cancer may lack immediate and routine access to chaplaincy. Thus, we sought to understand parent, oncologist, and psychosocial clinician preferences for discussing spirituality.
