Stroke significantly impacts public health and ranks among the leading causes of death and disabilities, resulting in enormous costs measured in both health care resources and lost productivity. It results primarily from embolus or thrombosis for ischemic stroke and hypertension for hemorrhagic stroke, respectively [1]. In 2016, there were 5.5 million deaths and 116.4 million disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) owed to stroke [2]. As reported, the impact of stroke on the Chinese population is more severe compared to average global levels, and the prevalence of stroke continues to surpass that of ischemic heart disease [3 –4].

ConclusionsFactor Xa inhibitors may be viable treatment options for CF-LVAD patients for whom warfarin therapy has failed. Large prospective studies are necessary to confirm these results.

CONCLUSIONS: The prevalence of stroke in this cohort was 3.1%. Ischemic strokes had a bimodal presentation, occurring either early after SLE diagnosis or after a several-year delay. Half of the hemorrhagic strokes occurred>10 years after the diagnosis of SLE. Clinical outcome was usually good with a relatively low recurrence rate. CONCLUSION: Unenhanced CT is a mainstay of acute phase imaging due to its availability and, sensitivity and specificity for detecting acute haemorrhage. Several imaging features can be identified on CT and, along with clinical information, can provide some certainty in diagnosis. For those suitable and where diagnostic uncertainty remains CT angiogram, time-resolved CT angiography and catheter angiography can help identify underlying AVMs, aneurysms, cavernomas and vasculitides. Conclusion: We found that Hhcy was an independent risk factor for poor outcome, but not an independent risk factor for HT after thrombolysis in ischemic stroke patients. In addition, there was no significant interaction of Hhcy and hypertension on the clinical outcome or HT after thrombolysis.
