Burned Out Moms: What to Do When You Don ’ t Feel Like Doing Anything

So, it’s morning and it’s time to get out of bed. The kids have to go to school, and you and your spouse have to get ready to go to work. But there’s a problem, you don’t want to get out of bed. Instead, you would rather be in bed all day long, underneath your warm covers hiding from the world.  I’ve been there. I know how it feels to dread hearing your alarm clock go off in the morning signaling that it’s time to get on with the day. It’s not a good feeling especially when you know you have to get up. If you are a mom, you can agree that if you don’t get up the entire house is in jeopardy. Here’s some advice and motivation to get your day started: Go to Bed Early If you’re a night owl, you may enjoy staying up late and even work better at night. But when you have kids, a job, a spouse that you take care of, you probably need to get some rest. It’s tempting to stay up past midnight to get some “quiet time”, but maybe you should get the kids to bed earlier so you can get that quiet time. It may take a while for your body to adjust, but eventually you’ll get used to going to bed at normal hours.
