CONCLUSIONS: Using judiciously planned robot-assisted SEEG, the authors demonstrate the safety of electrophysiological sampling from various thalamic nuclei for research recordings, presenting a technique that avoids implanting additional depth electrodes or compromising clinical care. With these results, we propose that if patients are fully informed of the risks involved, there are potential benefits of gaining mechanistic insights to seizure genesis, which may help to develop neuromodulation therapies. CONCLUSION: These results indicated that children with BECTS with ESES showed brain activity altered in the CEN and the SN. The difference of impairment in the SN and CEN may lead to improve the understanding of the underlying neuropathophysiology, and to assess the activity of patients with BECTS with ESES, which is crucial for measuring disease activity, improving patient care, and assessing the effect of antiepilepsy therapy. Conclusions: Preliminary literature suggests that FMT may be a promising treatment option for several neurological disorders. However, available evidence is still scanty and some contrasting results were observed. A limited number of studies in humans have been performed or are ongoing, while for some disorders only animal experiments have been conducted. Large double-blinded randomized controlled trials are needed to further elucidate the effect of FMT in neurological disorders.

ConclusionThis survey shows that language fMRI is firmly embedded in the preoperative management of epilepsy patients. The wide variety of paradigms and the use of non-CE-marked software underline the need for establishing reference standards.

CONCLUSION: Lateralization of the epileptogenic temporal lobe with data mining methods using regional metabolic asymmetry values obtained from interictal brain FDG PET images in mesial TLE patients is highly accurate.
