Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is now a leading cause of liver disease seen clinically and a principal contributor to the burden of disease globally. On 1 hand, this has led to an intense effort to better understand the evolving epidemiology, molecular biology, and clinical course of the disease along with development of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. On the other hand, it requires many different groups involved in health care to remain up-to-date with this rapidly developing field.
