Serum levels of sclerostin reflect altered bone microarchitecture in patients with hepatic cirrhosis.
CONCLUSION: In hepatic cirrhosis, sclerostin is related to altered bone microarchitecture and lower areal BMD. In alcoholic liver disease, low sclerostin concentrations were seen.
