Forensic dna registration in the russian federation: background and the current state

The report addresses the background and the current state of forensic DNA registration (state genomic registration) in Russia. Some legal and forensic aspects concerning the forensic DNA database (Federal database of genome information - FDBGI) with regards to both the investigation aims and the guarantee of the civil rights are discussed.
