The purpose of this program is to supplement the services otherwise provided by the State and is determined by the applicant’s ability to demonstrate the need in the State based on an objective and quantified basis.  The authority for this grant program:  Sections 2620 of Title XXVI of the Public Health Service Act sections 2611-23, (42 U.S.C. § 300ff-29a) as amended by the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 (Public Law 111-87).
