15.1 trigeminal nerve stimulation for adhd: correlates and predictors of treatment response

Trigeminal nerve stimulation (TNS) is a noninvasive neuromodulation method with minimal risk that has shown benefits for ADHD in a double-blind, sham-controlled trial, with an estimated effect size (Cohen ’s d) of 0.5. Given the 50-percent response rate, the current study tests whether there are behavioral, cognitive, or EEG characteristics that are associated with ADHD symptom reduction and are predictors of positive response to TNS treatment.
