Sympathomimetic amine therapy may improve live delivered pregnancy rates (PRs) following in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) in women of advanced reproductive age – a pilot study

A very effective medical therapies for various types of pelvic pain is the use of dextroamphetamine sulfate. The probable mechanism for pain relief seems to be by releasing more dopamine from sympathetic nerve fibers which diminishes cellular permeability. Increased cellular permeability may be the cause of pelvic pain related to increased absorption or irritating chemicals into pelvic tissues leading to excessive inflammation. Increased inflammatory cells, especially natural killer cells, could be a cause of infertility or miscarriage.
