Dermatomyositis associated with gastric neuroendocrine tumor

Dermatomyositis (DM) is an autoimmune disease characterized by cutaneous manifestations and muscle inflammation. Although the exact etiology of DM is unknown, research has shown an increased association between DM and various cancers. A case of a 63-year-old female patient presenting with a four-month history of proximal muscle weakness and diffuse, macular erythema of the skin, notably on the malar cheeks, eye lids, and upper back, is reported. She was clinically diagnosed with DM, with the diagnosis confirmed on muscle biopsy.
