Otolaryngology Resident Travel Award

Otolaryngology Resident Travel Award The Worldwide Organization of Migraine Equivalent Neuropathies (W.O.M.E.N.) selects several Otolaryngology trainees annually to receive a Resident Travel Award. Eligible scientific meetings and deadlines for specific applications will be announced on our website, FaceBook page and through the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery publications. The W.O.M.E.N. organization believes that many head and neck symptoms have a common neurologic origin, related to the pathophysiology of migraine headaches. We believe that a greater understanding of neurology and a closer relationship with the other specialties that are also experiencing migraine equivalent neuropathies will better prepare the next generation of otolaryngologists to become the leaders in the research and clinical applications of neuroscience. The value of the Otolaryngology Resident Travel Award is: Up to $1000 USD for a student currently enrolled in an Otolaryngology Residency program located in the USA Up to $1300 USD for international student currently enrolled in an international Otolaryngology Residency program. The criterion for selection is based primarily on a short essay describing a reason or an experience which has drawn your interest to the subject of migraine-related head and neck conditions. If selected, a letter from your Residency Director (confirming your good standing in the program) will be required for reimbursement....
