In conclusion, ABC transporters are the major determinants of ATC resistance to chemotherapy. By knowing the type of ABC transporters in ATC, we can tailor the best treatment approach for patients. Further studies are needed to define the exact role of each member of ABC transporters and other mechanisms in ATC drug resistance.
