Mo1076 IS IT SAFE TO CONTINUE WARFARIN OR TO SHORTEN INTERRUPTION OF DOACS IN HOT-SNARE POLYPECTOMY?

The newly published guideline of Japanese Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (2017 appendix) suggests to undergo endoscopic resection of colorectal polyps under anticoagulant therapy without stopping warfarin if PT-INR is under its therapeutic range, and in case of direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs), with stopping the drug only on the day of the treatment. However, the recommendation is not based on the established evidence. Thus, we aimed to evaluate the rate of bleeding and clarify its risk factors after endoscopic resection of colonic polyps performed according to the guideline in patients under anticoagulant therapy.
