Left atrial size and volume in cats with primary cardiomyopathy with and without congestive heart failure

ConclusionsLeft atrial volumes were not superior to linear measurements of LA size in distinguishing CM and CHF cats in this study. Minimal LA size and volumes resulted in a larger area under the curve than each corresponding maximal value. Minimum LA size may be a better prognostic factor of CHF in cats with CM.
