The relationship between pulse pressure, insulin resistance, and beta cell function in non-diabetic Korean adults
Diabetes is one of the main factors contributing to cardiovascular events and mortality; it is a common endocrine disease affecting global public health [1,2]. The decrease in β-cell function is an early symptom of diabetes pathogenesis [3], and β-cell dysfunction plays a role in the development of type 2 diabetes (T2DM) [4]. Therefore, restoration of β-cell function is important to prevent the onset of T2DM [5].
